Zed captivates the listener with an immediate sense of being told a very special story. His voice reflects a full life, roughly textured with an unexpected softness dashed with moments of fragility and sensitivity and a whole lot of soul. It’s a voice that paints pictures in your mind and engages the imagination. The songs cross difficult subjects with easily accessed melodies structured around the nursery rhyme style of simplicity. He sings about adult subjects but brings out the child in you when you hear it. Truth is the key and though the stories and songs are embellished towards fantasy the core of the subject matter and many of its events are all founded in truth and experience.
Zed makes you believe in “What if” and that we all live forever in some way.

From loss through grief and finding oneself, we all get a little lost out to sea.
This album was a long time coming though short, the life that created it was arduous and hard. Written in a hospital bed and then recorded in between major surgeries this “little rekerd” is truly a testiment to all good things take time.
Though originaly written and performed by ZED this album lay in tatters in a file until Marty Hailey offered to help put it all together, called in some friends from the Scottish Symphony Orchestra and with his wonderful arrangements and treatment of this story i am sure you , as i have, will find much to love and appreciate.
